Collection: NOUR ZAHABI

Nour (b. 1998) is a Lebanese designer currently based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her work blends typography, texture and photography shaped by a sensitivity to language, memory, and emotion. In 2020, during a period of instability in Lebanon, she returned to Saudi Arabia and joined YaStudio—a formative time that introduced her to the local art and design scene under the mentorship of Yasser.

Most of her ideas start in conversation—something misheard, a passing remark, or a phrase that lingers. She begins with a marker on paper, sketching thoughts before anything digital comes in. Her work often takes shape through lettering, texture, and a quiet focus on language—translating them to type experiments, posters, screen prints, or digital compositions.

Nour has taken part in Misk’s Screen Printing Posters Micro-Residency, exhibited in Ithra’s “From Manuscripts to Contemporary Art” challenge, and was featured in Revealing, Recording, Reflecting, a research-based book highlighting the work and stories of graphic women from the SWANA region.

Her practice is influenced by Arabic type designers and grounded in rhythm, context, and experimentation. She's especially interested in collaborations that connect design with culture—through publishing, type design, literature, and community archiving—often in the context of exhibitions or cultural programming.
