GHADA KHALID

Ghada (b. 1996) is a visual artist and designer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, known for her bold fusion of cartoonish illustration, street art, and pop art. From doodling on schoolbooks as a child to experimenting with colors and forms, art has always been her language. Over time, she developed a playful yet edgy signature style, blending vibrant visuals with deeper narratives.

Her work is a mix of digital and traditional mediums, combining illustration, graphic design, and experimental textures. While she primarily works digitally, she often incorporates hand-drawn elements to maintain an organic feel. Her compositions are characterized by strong shapes, bright colors, sharp lines, and dynamic movement, often layered with unexpected textures and typography.

Driven by a desire to make people think and see things differently, Ghada’s work often mixes pop culture with real-world issues, using fun and colorful visuals to convey deeper messages. Whether bold and direct or subtly layered, each piece is meant to grab attention and spark reflection.

Her influences include Banksy, Invader, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Takashi Murakami, Salvador Dalí, and Kenny Scharf, as well as movements like Dadaism, Surrealism, Pop Surrealism, Lowbrow Art, and graffiti culture. She aspires to collaborate with Banksy on a project that merges art and activism, creating impactful, statement-making visuals in unexpected spaces.
